The application automatically rescans the network at user-defined intervals, offering customization options for scan frequency, the duration results remain visible, and how results can be copied to the clipboard.

It is important to clarify that ZeroScan is not designed as an IP scanner; it does not actively probe network devices. Instead, it passively listens for network activity and presents this information to users. The tool specifically detects network services such as _ssh._tcp or _companion-link._tcp. For users who require information on a specific service not automatically detected, ZeroScan allows for manual entry through its preferences menu. However, if the desired device does not broadcast one of the 40+ services that ZeroScan monitors, it will remain undiscovered.

Privacy considerations are noteworthy with ZeroScan; it does not collect or transmit any data externally. The application exclusively listens for broadcasted services, and no information is stored beyond user preferences once the application is closed.
